Camera man was f'n dumb standing there like that. He just barely missed being taken out by rocks batted by the propellers and had they dug in he would have been finished for sure.

"V EF means the speed at which the critical engine is assumed to fail during takeoff."
... apparently...
stavmeir84 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
what VEF mean?
gunnern1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
It would be interesting to have a closer look at the relation between V1 and VEF, otherwise I'd say that's about correct. Remember that if an aircraft do need to stop, the loss of one engine may have an effect on the required stopping distance (assuming that the engines are capable of providing reverse thrust).

I think, to extinguish the wheel fire, it was the best he could do, to bring the plane off from the tarmaced runway to the sand field.
But, godness, how long takes the fire brigade to get there! You only hear theyr siren for an Eternity! This accident wasn t a catastrophy, thank God, but the Desaster Management there IS a catastrophy...

ok maybe i wrong? i dont know.
what i learned and maybe its worng it this:
V1 = the speed you can not reject a takeoff becuse u cant stop before the end of the runway
vr= the speed u can pull up the airplane
v2= the speed you can fly good even if u have an engine problem.
fix me if i learn something wrong plese.
